A common question we receive is: “Why are your specialty paper bags so strong without needing plastic lamination?” The answer lies in the raw materials. Our specialty papers are primarily made from long, strong virgin wood fibers. These long fibers create a dense, interlocking network that gives the paper inherent high toughness and tear resistance. In contrast, many standard white card papers contain a significant amount of shorter recycled fibers. While recycling is good, these shorter fibers provide less structural integrity. To compensate for this lack of strength and water resistance, standard paper often requires a plastic film lamination. Our specialty papers, due to their superior base strength, can achieve the required durability for bags and boxes directly. This eliminates the need for non-biodegradable plastic film, resulting in truly eco-friendly paper bags that maintain strength while being fully recyclable and compostable, aligning with modern sustainability goals.
